INTRODUCTION
EDAD (acronym in Spanish for “Digital Literacy Dynamic Stimulation”, also meaning “AGE”) is an online training course for elderly people to become aware of and learn how to use computers, with a twofold objective:
  • preventing cognitive impairment.
  • favouring their social integration through technologies.

THE INITIATIVE IN NAVARRA
The launch of the EDAD Project in Navarre was the result of a collaboration agreement between Fundación Orange and Fundación Dédalo to conduct activities to promote and disseminate the Digital Knowledge Society among elderly people.

The initiative was launched in October 2010, with the organisation of a training course for trainers, organisations and associations working with elderly people, so that these agents may help in and support the delivery of the training courses in their respective organisations.
