FUNDACIÓN DÉDALO

The project was the result of a collaboration between Fundacion Dedalo and ANFAS Delegacion Tudela (regional association for people with psychological disabilities), for the implementation of IT promotional activities. The collaboration allowed to identify an obstacle, namely the lack of an adult-orientated approach in the educational programmes used by ANFAS, a circumstance that was also pointed out by the staff of CREENA, the Special Education Resources Centre of Navarre.

This led to the launching of a project focusing on the development of software tools for people with intellectual disabilities.

The project was approved with an initial budget of EUR 23,000, 100% of which was funded by Caja Navarra under its “Tu eliges Tu decides” initiative (“You chose, You decide”, a charity and investment initiative).

1. A methodology for adapting contents to digital media applications.

3. Adapting the ‘Escucha’ (“Listen”) programme, previously issued in another multimedia CD-ROM.

The general objective of the project is to improve the access of people with disabilities to quality educational materials in line with their age and needs.

Partial objectives:

- Developing a methodology supporting educational, leisure or professional activities.

- Encouraging synergies among organisations through the implementation of a collaborative project.

These CD-ROMs (only spanish version) may be used freely for educational and non-profit purposes and are available to any person or organisation interested in using them.
